I dont think I’ve ever made these cookies and had them last longer than a day! They are delightful in every way and can be easily altered to fit whatever mood you’re in. For instance, I was feeling frisky and altered the frosting from vanilla to peanut butter. The sky is the limit here. Enjoy them!

Ingredients
- Cookies
2 boxes devils food cake mix
1 1/2 cups crisco
4 large eggs- Frosting
1 cup room temp butter (salted)
4 cups powdered sugar
2 tbsp milk
1 tbsp vanilla extract
Here's how you do it
- preheat oven to 350*. Mix together all 3 cookie ingredients. Shape into 1" balls and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes until crinkley cracks are forming on top of cookie. Remove from oven, then allow to rest on baking sheet for 10 more minutes.
- Transfer cookies to cooling rack and allow to cool completly while you make your frosting.
- Combine butter, powdered sugar and vanilla extract into mixing bowl. Add milk a little a time until you reach your desired consitancy.
- Pair cookies up that are similar size/shape. Sandwich a generous helping of frosting between two cookies. Yum!

Notes
- Sometimes I like vanilla frosting, sometimes i like peanut butter frosting. To alter the forsting recipe, simply use 1/2 cup room temp butter, 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter, and omit the vanilla exract.
- A textured baking sheet will help the cookies cook more evenly
- You can substitute butter or coconut oil instead of crisco. Same amout.
