Ellie's Doggie Birthday Cake
I’m convinced there’s no sweeter dog than our old lady Ellie and she just celebrated her 13th birthday. Doesn’t that make her 91 in dog years? She deserved to be celebrated in the sweetest way with a cake just for her!

1 cup pumpkin puree
1/2 cup dog approved peanut butter
1 cup apple sauce
1 cup all purpose flour
- Frosting:
1/2 cup plain greek yogurt
1/4 cup dog approved peanut butter
Here's how you do it
- Combine pumpkin puree, peanut butter, apple sauce and flour. Divide into smaller cake/cupcake baking pans and bake for 20 minutes at 350* (you could do 2 shallowly filled 8x8 squares or small rounds)
- Allow cakes to cool completely. Mix together greek yogurt and peanut butter for frosting.
- Assemble cakes as desired and decorate! I used bits of dog kibble and a turkey stick, but you could top with blueberries, carrots, cheese, or anything your pup would enjoy!
